PLEASE READ ALL OF THE CONTENT BELOW REGARDING VO ATLANTA AND OUR SAFETY MEASURES RELATED TO COVID-19
The safety and health of our attendees, remains our priority. We continue to closely monitor current governmental mandates, policies, and recommendations regarding COVID-19. This includes guidelines from the venue and public health announcements. As we obtain additional information, we will adjust and update our guidance to ensure a coordinated response and provide a safe environment for all attendees.
VO Atlanta follows recommendations from the CDC and other agencies regarding safe health practices. General information about gathering in groups can be found here:

Conference attendees, exhibitors, vendors, and speakers have been required to confirm their vaccination status as part of their registration for the conference. In addition to this requirement, conference attendees, exhibitors, vendors, and speakers will be required to self-attest to their vaccination status, answer a few simple questions, and have their temperature checked prior to receiving their official conference badge.
Everyone will be asked the following questions before they will receive their badge:
- In the past 24 hours, have you experienced COVID-19 symptoms?
- Have you or people whom you have close contact with, like someone who lives in your house, a relative, a friend, or a co-worker
- tested positive for COVID-19 in the last 14 days?
- or had any COVID-19 symptoms in the last 14 days?
A non-contact temperature scan will be performed with the temperature recorded on the form.
NOTE: Anyone with an elevated temeperature, or acknowledgement that they have had possible exposure, will be asked to perform a rapid COVID test (provided at no cost by VO Atlanta) to confirm a negative COVID status. If that test is positive, a second test will be conducted to confirm. Anyone with two positive test will not be issued a badge.
VO Atlanta does not require proof of vaccination to enter public indoor locations. Vaccinations are required and masks are highly recommended, but not required. Conference teams will periodically perform temperature scans of attendees when they enter or exit any conference area.
Face Coverings (see special note below)
Face coverings are REQUIRED in ALL CONFERENCE ROOMS (Breakouts, Panels, Workshops, (any space where we gather for more than 15 minutes)). Face coverings are highly recommended when not in a conference controlled space. Each person receiving a badge will also be provided a free 3-ply mask for their personal use. Additional mask will be available at all times at no-cost to conference attendees. Mask may be removed if acting as the lead session speaker/panelist.
Please note: The mask policy is subject to changes as recommended by the US Department of Transportation. Currently their mask restrictions are scheduled to expire on March 18th, 2022. If that policy is renewed, our stated policy concerning mask will remain as outlined above. If the policy is allowed to expire, mask will become 'optional' in all conference spaces. Mask will still be made available at no cost to anyone wanting one.
Each attendee receiving a badge will also be provided a personal bottle of hand sanitizer by VO Atlanta. The hotel will also have hand sanitizer stations throughout the venue. Attendees are encouraged to wash their hands regularly in addition to using hand sanitizer.
Following a successful pre-screen, each attendee will be issued a Tyvek Band confirming they have completed our pre-screening process. These bands will be required for entry into any of our conference controlled spaces.
A wrist band will be provided which MUST BE WORN while at the conference. This will provide a visual reference point to our staff and other attendees that you have confirmed your vaccination status and screened prior to receiving your badge.
Social distancing practices will be implemented when possible, according to all venue, local and state guidelines. Attendees are encouraged to maintain a safe distance of 6-feet where possible. The use of Elbow and Fist bumps are encouraged versus hugs or other close contact.
We have asked the hotel to provide as much outdoor seating as possible for our meal/lunch periods. Assuming weather permits, outside seating is encouraged.
While we have taken measures to provide a safe environment for all attendees, it remains the personal responsibility of each attendee to act in a safe and responsible manner. We trust that the information provided to us by each attendee is accurate and truthful. If any information provided to us is found to be untruthful, we reserve the right to immediately cancel the attendees registration, retrieve their badge, and remove them from the conference area.
We will continue to follow CDC guidelines and local city regulations for any further changes or updates. We thank our community for getting vaccinated to keep each other safe while also practicing other safety measures like hand-washing, using hand sanitizer, and maintaining safe distances. We all benefit from live events for the invaluable connections and content as this can make all the difference in how we learn and enjoy one another. It is vital we collectively demonstrate responsible conferencing as we transition back to face-to-face meetings.
