Many projects are so secretive that actors don’t get an opportunity to study a role before needing to perform it. So the actors who can walk into a session and shift their reads quickly and accurately are going to be the ones who are cast over and over. I have identified 7 Music Principles that allow actors to understand how to harness the principles of music, and will show how these dramatically shortcut the process so actors can give deep performances, with shifts ranging from nuanced to bold.
