Description

When one knows the “What there is to do” in the editing process getting to the “How to do it" is easy. The Six Key Elements of recording and editing is a clear guide of what one should be focused on when recording and editing voiceover. First and foremost proper modulation/volume of the voice. Then there are the Six Key Elements: 1) Noise Floor (how to assess and deal with it); 2) Removing breaths (w/silence); 3) Plosives (how to remove and soften); 4) Extraneous pops and clicks (how to remove); 5) Smoothing the entrances and exits to words that are attacked; Timing. Once these Key Elements and how to deal with them are revealed, the participants have a pathway to creating broadcast ready recordings no matter what recording program (DAW) they are using.
