These small-group sessions are designed to provide you with the opportunity to connect with experts who provide you with training and knowledge based on their many years of experience. These sessions are OPTIONAL and are not included in the general conference registration fee.

9:30 AM - 12:30 PM | [X-SESSION] The Killer Audiobook Demo - Hillary Huber | In this session we will go over how to choose excerpts for your demo - what genres, how long should they be, how to edit them. We will discuss your target audience and how to tailor your demo to match their expectations. We will do some narrating. We will have fun! How to prep an audiobook demo that will get you noticed.

1:30 PM - 4:30 PM | [X-SESSION] Audiobook Manuscript Analysis: Prep to Perform - Leon Nixon | This session is designed to give participants the tools to analyze the book, short story, or project so participant can communicate the author's intent clearly and effectively. At the end of this session, participants will be able to get a book, break it down and tell the story with the clarity of someone with first-hand knowledge of the material.

6:30 PM - 9:30 PM | [X-SESSION] with Harper Audio - Caitlin Garing | This session will be broken up into three parts: Discussion about what producers look for in a great performance and what are some of the frequent traps performers fall into. Practical advice about how to build a good website with an opportunity for a live review of select attendees' websites for feedback. Performance feedback session: opportunity for actors to perform short scenes in front of a casting director for feedback on genres and age ranges their voice may be best suited . Scenes should be no more than two pages and ideally contain at least two genders speaking.

6:30 PM - 9:30 PM | [X-SESSION] The Empowered Narrator - Elise Arsenault | This session will empower the narrator to get in the driver's seat of their VO/Audiobook career. We will explore long-term visioning, practical goal-setting, and mindset work, so that you are crystal clear on what IS and what is NOT in your control. We'll dive deep into how setting a structured plan on the front-end will ultimately give you more freedom and flexibility in your life and career. Elise will share some of her favorite vocal health habits for sustained success in and out of the booth, so that you have a foundation for both lean and busy times in your business.
