AI-driven algorithms have given electronic devices the ability to mimic human speech with astonishing precision and clarity. Does this mean digitally reconstructed soundbites will replace human dialogue in e-learning, audiobooks, corporate videos, and other forms of long-form narration? Or will TTS software become so ubiquitous that each of us will be able to create our own "virtual assistant" – allowing talent to send in pick-ups and other recordings without having to step in front of a microphone? We are living the most transformative era in the history of voiceover. This Breakout Session will look at games, immersive content, augmented audio, interactive brand storytelling, 3D podcasts, performance capture, immersive plays, and other innovative formats – providing insights and tools to help voice artists evolve with emerging technology, instead of being replaced by it.

Takeaways:

  • Gain a clear understanding of which voiceover markets have been most affected by technological advances and the shift in cultural paradigms
  • Learn about cutting-edge hardware and software that will speed up workflow, improve audio quality, and streamline communication with clients around the world
  • Explore previously non-existent markets, where opportunities are numerous, but competition is fierce
